Can I use a corner friendly mount on a regular wall, not a corner?

The "Corner Friendly" term is just a selling term for smaller mounts with a single arm that can extend and be placed in a corner. It does not mean it cannot be placed anywhere else, or that another mount that does not specifically say "Corner Friendly" cannot be used in a corner
