What are the oxygen free speaker wires made of?

Oxygen-free speaker wires are composed of high-purity copper, typically containing 99.9% or more pure copper. This type of copper, often referred to as Oxygen-Free High Conductivity (OFHC) copper, is refined to reduce the oxygen content and other impurities that can affect electrical conductivity.

Unlike some other types of speaker wire, oxygen-free speaker wires do not include copper-clad steel, aluminum, or other metal alloys. The use of nearly pure copper ensures superior conductivity and minimal signal loss, which is especially beneficial for high-fidelity audio applications.
